Alexandra skipped her nap one day, and fell asleep in her dinner.
We hunted for signs of life in tidal pools.
We ingested frilly desserts
One night we had a bug hunt. Erin took pictures.
We took a bike ride around Eagle and Jordan Ponds that proved to be a little long for some members of the party. Suffice to say, toddlers do not enjoy riding in a bicycle trailer for more than 40 minutes or so.
We took a hike around Jordan Pond, which are bounded by the Bubbles on one end, and the Jordan Pond house on the other.
Don't you like my hat? Alexandra didn't want to wear it.
A little friend was interested in our butter.
Pete and Maura discovered a turtle on the roadside.
Aaaaargh we went for mini golf at Priate's Cove. Alexandra enjoyed picking up the colored balls, although she didn't quite get that she was supposed to leave them alone!
We took another bike ride, sans toddler. Erin stayed at the house while we went riding. The roads were all built for horse carriages, but are great fun for bike riders, although they can be a little, what's the word, on yeah -- steep.
A lot of the stone work reminded me of "Lord of the Rings", so we took some shots of "hobbits" admiring the One Ring. Yeah, we are geeks.
We took a hike on Great Head, which involved walking over Sand Beach. Alexandra rode on my back in a kid carrier.
We took a trip to Bass Harbor Head light, since a trip to Maine isn't complete without a trip to a lighthouse.
Here we are, leaving the light house.
